Praise the Lord for a great weekend. We had a great day at Booneville Fall Festival. I give the Lord all the praise for all the Oak Hill people who came out and served. We had 30 people come out from set up to tear down. Praise the Lord for Sunday because we had 1 profession of faith and 1 join the church. Then we had a great service tonight and I enjoyed preaching about the sword of the Spirit and the Word (rhema) of God’s Word. I have been loving studying and preaching the armor of God.
Praise the Lord for a good weekend and Wed.

Sunday was an Awesome Day
27 07 2009Both our morning and evening worship services were awesome today. I praise the Lord for all He did and the opportunity to serve the great people of Oak Hill Baptist. Sunday morning I shared about being a C4 Church and how God want us to be an explosive church that distributes His love to all people. I presented a purpose/mission statement of “LEADING PEOPLE TO BECOME FULL-TIME FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST.” Sunday night was awesome. We baptized 7 Sunday night. The waters were moving and praise the Lord for all the changed lives and new life in Jesus Christ. Then Holly and Danielle shared about their trip to Russia. It was great to see all that Jesus did there. Praise the Lord for the 140 that came to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior on this trip to Russia. Then we wrapped up the day going bowling with the youth group. We had a great time there. I praise the Lord for all He has done and I look forward to what He will do in the days ahead.

Sunday Thoughts
8 06 2009Wow! What a week. It was emotional and tiring. Yet God is good all the time!
Just read this from Mark Batterson – God is far more concerned with who you’re becoming than where you’re going. And He won’t get you where He wants you to go until you’re ready to get there! I just read this incredibly encouraging verse in Romans 8:25.
It is all about being more like Him. May we all desire to be more like Him this week.

Lion Chasers Manifesto
9 05 2009I read this on Mark Batterson’s blog. I thought you might like to read this:
Quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. Grab life by the mane. Set God-sized goals. Pursue God-ordained passions. Go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention. Keep asking questions. Keep making mistakes. Keep seeking God. Stop pointing out problems and become part of the solution. Stop repeating the past and start creating the future. Stop playing it safe and start taking risks. Accumulate experiences. Consider the lilies. Enjoy the journey. Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can. Live like today is the first day and last day of your life. Don’t let what’s wrong with you keep you from worshipping what’s right with God. Burn sinful bridges. Blaze new trails. Criticize by creating. Worry less about what people think and more about what God thinks. Don’t try to be who you’re not. Be yourself. Laugh at yourself. Quit holding out. Quit holding back. Quit running away.
Chase the lion.
May we go with God and find out where God is at work and join Him as Blackaby has taught us in Experiencing God.
Take care and Have a great weekend!!

Not Enough Time in the day
5 03 2009Sorry I have not blogged. Way too busy. Yet, God has been speaking to me through this series I have been preaching. He has really spoken in the areas of holiness, prayer and fasting. I am not an expert on these issues but I want to be sold out to Him and grow to know HIM more and more. Take care and hope to see you Sunday!!

3 01 2009Happy New Year!!
I am looking forward to what the Lord wants to do this new year. Looking forward to Sunday. We are going to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. I am praying that it will be an anointed time and that God would move and work in our midst.
Again remember that the Lord wants to do a new thing in all of our lives this year. Then be encouraged by Jer. 29:11. The Lord has been taking me to this verse for the last few days. “For I know the plans that I have for”–this is the Lord’s declaration–”plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and hope.”
May God bless you this year and look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

2008
1 01 2009It is hard to believe 2008 is over. It was a tough year but it had many bright spots in it. It also flew by.
I praise the Lord for the good prayer meeting we had last night. Many shared and gave thanks and praise to the Lord for what HE had done in their lives.
I praise the Lord for His goodness, faithfulness, forgiveness, patience and provision. I thank Him for calling me, protecting me and taking care of my family. God is good all the time!!
I want to thank Him for my wife Janice and her love. I want to thank the members of North Harrison Church for their support this year.
We must remember God is Good All the Time!!!
